Know what sits behind
the numbers.
I run Swathmath: free calculators for lawn-care software costs, plus a dated reference of plan prices. Today it has one calculator, built around one question: does staying free or paying for Yardbook fit your fees and workflow?
About Swathmath
I separate displayed prices, documented terms and derived arithmetic. I do not represent Yardbook, provide account-specific advice or rank plans by affiliate payouts. There are no affiliate links or sponsorships on this site; see the disclosure.
The site has one calculator, a Yardbook reference and a dated pricing table for eight platforms. Confirm applicable terms in your account before deciding.
Where the pricing table comes from
Each row on the software pricing page is copied from the vendor’s own pricing page on October 24, 2026, except Yardbook, which uses the owner capture described below. Pages checked:
- GorillaDesk pricing
- Housecall Pro pricing
- LawnPro pricing
- LMN pricing
- QuoteIQ pricing
- Service Autopilot pricing
- Turf Pro Logic pricing
Prices change and vendors run promotions. Treat every figure as a dated reference and confirm it with the vendor.

Payment fees and seasonality
Annual eligible payments = monthly eligible payments × active payment months. Free-plan added fee = annual eligible payments × added fee rate. Paid subscription = quoted monthly price × billed months. This comparison requires billed months to cover every active payment month; it does not model fees in unsubscribed active months. Fee saving = free-plan added fee − paid subscription. Break-even per active month = subscription ÷ rate ÷ active months. At a zero rate there is no payment-volume break-even.
A cash/check/direct Zelle workflow with no eligible payments produces no added fee in this model. Stay free if the workflow meets your needs; software can still have separate payment, integration or operational costs. Never count all revenue as eligible volume.
An annual monthly-equivalent price is not a monthly cancellation right. A shorter mowing season does not establish that you can stop and restart a subscription without penalties, lost data or price changes. Confirm those terms first.
Subscription billing and cancellation
Yardbook’s official Terms (archived April 18, 2026; footer updates through April 25, 2023) state that monthly Premium subscriptions start immediately and auto-charge on the same day each month unless terminated before the next period. Cancel through the subscription/account billing page. No refunds; benefits continue through the paid period. Premium Packages retain commitment to the current package term. Subscription cancellation is separate from account deletion and its data-loss consequences. Seasonal pause, downgrade to free and reactivation rights are not expressly confirmed. Keep 12 billed months unless your applicable terms confirm otherwise.
Feature needs can override the fee result
A fee saving alone does not prove a plan fits. If a needed feature is absent, verify which plan provides it, whether your account qualifies, and its full quote. Number of crew members alone does not trigger an upgrade here. No assumed value for saved time is added to cash savings.

Evidence updated October 23, 2026. Owner-captured official pricing shows Starter FREE; Business $34.99/month with Automatic Invoice Reminders and Yardbook Processing Fee Waived; Enterprise $49.99/month with Business features, Quickbooks Sync and Branded Company Portal. These are displayed list prices, not account-specific checkout quotes; the capture date is owner-reported. An archived official payment-help article dated April 6, 2025 describes the additional 1% online-payment fee and premium waiver. Current live agreement is unconfirmed; Research’s October 23 retrieval returned HTTP 403. Official Terms (archived April 18, 2026; footer updates through April 25, 2023), independently reviewed as an archive rather than a live page, specify 1% of each transaction for non-premium accounts and free trials, waived for paid Business/Enterprise. Processor fees remain separate. Applicability to ACH, wallets and tips remains unconfirmed; do not assume every payment incurs or loses the fee. Archived links are historical corroboration. Monthly billing/cancellation is summarized above; seasonal pause, downgrade-to-free and reactivation remain unconfirmed. The default remains 12 billed months, covering every active payment month. Enter your confirmed quote and eligible-payment assumptions.
